The Sinan-dong community of the Salesians is a men's religious community and house of theological formation on Jami-ro in Buk-gu, Gwangju. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea identifies it as the "Gwangju Sinan-dong community / theological house" of the Salesians in the Archdiocese of Gwangju, and its current representative address matches the package.

The Salesians were founded in 1859 and entered Korea in 1954. Because the official subsidiary name explicitly includes a theological house, the Sinan-dong community has an identity centered not only on common religious life but also on formation and theological study.

The site is therefore best understood not as an ordinary parish church or as the same facility as the Ilgok-dong community, but as the Salesian community and theological house in Sinan-dong. Its continuing role in religious community life and formation is more important than changeable information about current members.
