Pyeong-dong Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju at 29 Pyeongdong-ro 735beon-gil, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, within the Gwangju Gwangsan 2 district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on January 20, 1996, with St. Columba Kim Hyo-im as its patron.
Since the mid-1990s, the parish has served Catholics of Pyeong-dong and surrounding areas through Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community life.
Pyeong-dong Catholic Church is therefore a local parish of Gwangsan-gu under the patronage of the Korean martyr St. Columba Kim Hyo-im, with parish life since 1996 forming its central identity.
