About this place
The Gwangju branch of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Mirinae is a women's religious community located at the same address as Boseong Catholic Church in Boseong-eup, Boseong County. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea identifies it as the Gwangju branch of the congregation in the Archdiocese of Gwangju and confirms the same address as the package.
The national Catholic directory gives February 2, 1984 as the establishment date of the congregation's motherhouse. A Catholic publication drawing on material provided by the congregation describes its spirituality with the motto "Glory to the Holy Trinity through the Heart of Mary," emphasizing consecration to God in imitation of Mary's heart.
The place is therefore best understood not as Boseong Parish itself, but as the Gwangju branch of the congregation living and serving within the parish setting. The continuing presence of religious life and apostolic service is more important here than changeable details about current personnel.
