About this place
Jisan-dong Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju at 54 Jisan-ro, Dong-gu, Gwangju, within the Gwangju East district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on November 15, 1970, with the 103 Korean Martyr Saints as its patrons.
The Jisan-dong community of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is also registered at the same address in the Catholic Church Directory in Korea. The site can therefore be understood as a parish setting in which a local religious community is also present.
