The St. Francis Monastery of the Order of Friars Minor in Jangseong is a men’s religious community at 10 Deokju 1-gil, Jinwon-myeon, Jangseong County. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea lists it as the “Jangseong St. Francis Monastery / Elderly Care Facility” of the Order of Friars Minor (O.F.M.).
The Archdiocese of Gwangju also lists the Franciscan monastery at the same address among the male religious communities serving the archdiocese. This is not an ordinary territorial parish church, but a monastery where religious community life and ministry to elderly residents are carried out together.
This Jangseong target therefore refers to the Franciscan monastery itself and is distinct from the separately registered itinerant community/branch located at Yeraak Mission Station.
