About this place
The Gwangju community of the Mercedarian Sisters of Charity is a women’s religious community at 51 Samdosonggye-gil, Songhak-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea records it as the congregation’s Gwangju community.
Isabellete Spirituality Center is located at the same address, and the bishops’ conference directory identifies the Mercedarian Sisters of Charity as the religious institute responsible for that retreat and prayer house. The two targets therefore represent the religious community and the spirituality facility entrusted to it, not an accidental duplicate.
The defining identity of this place is that of a local Mercedarian community whose religious life is closely connected with the retreat ministry of Isabellete Spirituality Center.
