Daedeok Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju in Daedeok-eup, Jangheung County, within the archdiocese's south-central district. The archdiocese records January 20, 2011 as the parish establishment date and identifies St. John Mary Vianney as its patron. Today it is the local center where Catholics continue their life of faith through Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and parish community life.
