Daechon Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju in Jiseok-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, within the Gwangju South district. The archdiocese formally established Daechon Parish on January 20, 2022, and its current parish record identifies Simon and Jude as the patron. The address at 611 Pochung-ro is consistent between the original establishment notice and the current parish record.
Its very recent establishment in 2022 is the clearest characteristic of the place.
