About this place
Chipyeong-dong Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju at 93 Chipyeong-ro, Seo-gu, Gwangju, within the Gwangju West district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on January 1, 1998, with St. Peter Son Seon-ji as its patron.
Since the late 1990s, the parish has served Catholics of the Chipyeong-dong area through Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community activities.
The church is therefore a local parish of western Gwangju under the patronage of the Korean martyr St. Peter Son Seon-ji, with parish community life since 1998 forming its central identity.
