About this place
Boseong Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju in Boseong-eup, Boseong County, within the south-central district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on 1941-09-01 and names St. Francis Xavier as its patron.
Established in 1941, the parish is an independent pastoral community where local Catholics gather for Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and parish activities. Its defining character is that of an ordinary local parish serving everyday Catholic life rather than a special pilgrimage shrine or religious house.
The church is therefore best understood through its present parish community and the continuity of local pastoral life since 1941. Changeable information such as Mass schedules and current personnel is intentionally omitted.
