About this place
The Daejeon District of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres is a religious community belonging to the congregation's Seoul Province. The official Catholic directory in Korea lists it within the Diocese of Daejeon as the “Seoul Province: Daejeon District.” Unlike a parish, which has pastoral responsibility for a defined territory, this place is best understood as a base of consecrated life where sisters live and pray in community and are sent to their respective apostolates.
The Seoul Province's official apostolate information lists sisters serving in a number of parishes in the Diocese of Daejeon. The Daejeon District therefore provides a regional foundation from which the congregation sustains its spirituality and common life while continuing parish ministry, service, and evangelizing work within the diocese. Visitors should understand it not as an ordinary parish church but as a place connecting the congregation's Daejeon-area community with its apostolic work.
