About this place
Sinchon Mission Station is a Catholic mission station of the Diocese of Daejeon and a local faith community in Ugang-myeon, Dangjin. The Catholic Directory in Korea lists Sinchon separately among the mission stations of the Diocese of Daejeon, confirming that it continues as a place where local Catholics gather within the parish-centered pastoral structure of the Dangjin area.
The Ugang area lies within the Naepo region, where parishes, mission stations, and memories of the Catholic martyrs are found in close proximity. However, reliable sources obtained for this review do not establish a distinct history of Sinchon Mission Station itself or a specific relationship with particular martyrs. The history of nearby shrines or other mission stations should therefore not be transferred to this place, which is best understood through its verified identity as a local mission-station community of the Diocese of Daejeon.
