About this place
The place in this package is identified in the Korean Catholic directory as the “Daejeon District of the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters.” The directory registers the same address as an institution of a women's institute of consecrated life and society of apostolic life within the Diocese of Daejeon, and gives its English name as “Olivetan Benedictine Sisters of Busan: O.S.B.” It is therefore more accurate to understand this entry as the community and administrative or residential base of the congregation's Daejeon District rather than as an ordinary territorial parish church.
A religious district is a unit that links communities and houses of the institute across different places, and its character differs from that of a parish entrusted with the pastoral care of all Catholics in a defined territory. This site should therefore be presented primarily according to its verified present identity as the Daejeon District base of the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters within the Diocese of Daejeon, without assuming parish functions or adding unverified Mass information.
