About this place
Noeundong Catholic Church is the parish church of Noeundong Parish in the Northern Daejeon District of the Diocese of Daejeon, located in Noeundong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. The official Korean Catholic directory identifies Saint Abraham as its patron. It is the local parish center where Catholics from Noeundong and the surrounding area celebrate Mass and the sacraments, receive catechesis, pray, and participate in community life, serving as part of the diocesan community in the northwestern Daejeon area.
The official directory records January 29, 2002 as the parish's establishment date. However, the reliable public sources currently available do not establish with sufficient certainty which mother parish it was separated from, how its original territory was defined, or how its first church facilities were developed. This introduction therefore focuses on its verified present status as a parish of the Diocese of Daejeon and on its identity as a community under the patronage of Saint Abraham.
