About this place
Dangjinpo Mission Station is a Catholic mission community in Godae-myeon, Dangjin, within the Diocese of Daejeon and under the jurisdiction of Dangjin Parish. The Catholic directory clearly lists it not as an independent parish but as a mission station of Dangjin Parish, and its listed location matches the place identified in the package. Dangjinpo should therefore be understood as a local center through which Catholics in the Godae-myeon area remain connected to their mother parish and continue community life in the faith.
Because a mission station does not operate in the same way as a parish with a resident priest, Mass and sacramental schedules may vary according to the pastoral plan of the mother parish. The significance of the place lies less in any fixed schedule than in helping Catholics living at some distance from the parish church maintain a community within their own area. Visitors should first understand its relationship to Dangjin Parish as its mother parish.
