Daecheol Hall is an educational and retreat facility of the Diocese of Daejeon that functions as a Youth Education Center. The Korean Catholic Directory classifies Daecheol Hall among diocesan retreat and prayer facilities and gives “Youth Education Center” as an associated name. It also records the participation of the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters in the ministry of the facility.

Its principal role is not that of a territorial parish but that of a diocesan center supporting faith formation for adolescents and young adults, the training of volunteers and leaders, Scripture programs, and retreats. Notices in the diocesan weekly repeatedly record young-adult Bible courses, group commitments, and educational programs held at Daecheol Hall. It is therefore best understood not as an ordinary parish church, but as a pastoral facility supporting the formation of younger generations and community education across the Diocese of Daejeon.
