About this place
Chubu Mission Station belongs to the Daejeon Central District of the Catholic Diocese of Daejeon and is under the jurisdiction of Geumsan Parish. The Korean Catholic directory confirms its official name and present identity, as well as its relationship to Geumsan as the mother parish. The most important point for understanding the site is that it is not an independent parish but a local pastoral center for Catholics living in the Chubu-myeon area at some distance from the parish church.
Because a mission station is a smaller Catholic community than a parish, the liturgical and pastoral life of Chubu Mission Station should be understood in relation to Geumsan Parish. The public directory does not provide enough information to establish the date of foundation or the history of the chapel building, but it clearly confirms the community's present place within the diocesan mission-station structure under Geumsan Parish.
