About this place
Baekseok Mission Station is a Catholic mission station of the Diocese of Daejeon, located in Yeonsan-myeon, Nonsan, under the pastoral jurisdiction of Nonsan Buchang-dong Parish. The directory of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea confirms the same address and parent parish, distinguishing this site from mission stations with the same name in other regions.
Unlike an independent parish, a mission station serves as a local point where Catholics continue prayer and community life within the pastoral structure of a parent parish. Baekseok Mission Station is therefore best understood as a local community connected to Nonsan Buchang-dong Parish, rather than as a separate parish church.
The currently available official sources clearly establish its present affiliation and location, but do not provide a sufficiently detailed account of its foundation or development. Its meaning can therefore be stated safely in terms of its present role: a place where local Catholic life continues within the pastoral network of the Diocese of Daejeon and Nonsan Buchang-dong Parish.
