About this place
This place is the Daegu branch of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Mirinae, as registered in the Catholic Church Directory in Korea. The institute belongs to the women's institutes of consecrated life and apostolic life, and the Daegu community is located in Beomeo-dong within the Archdiocese of Daegu. Its official English name is Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Mirinae.
It is important to understand this site as a religious house rather than a territorial parish for all Catholics in the neighborhood. It is a place where religious sisters continue their common life, prayer, and the mission of their institute, and its identity as a religious community should take precedence over a simple classification as a chapel.
