About this place
Galbat Catholic Church is a parish of the Archdiocese of Daegu serving Catholics in Dowon-dong, Dalseo-gu, and nearby neighborhoods. Its patron is Saint Patrick, widely venerated as a missionary saint of Ireland.
As one of the more recently established parishes in the archdiocese, its significance lies less in old architectural heritage than in providing a center of Catholic community life in a newly developed residential area. Galbat Parish was established on January 25, 2019. This foundation date, confirmed in the official records of the Archdiocese of Daegu, marks the beginning of a separate pastoral community within a newly developing residential area of Dalseo-gu.
