The exact opening year of Benedicto Spirituality Center cannot be established from the public official sources currently available. A religious reflection on the 2009 centenary of the Benedictine presence in Korea, however, records that the building of Benedicto Spirituality Center inside the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing convent in Sasu-dong was rented for a meeting of Benedictine abbots. This shows that the center was already operating in substantially its present role by that time.

In 2013 the Biblical Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Daegu officially announced that diocesan Bible-reading retreats would be held at the center. This demonstrates that it functioned not only as an internal religious-house facility but also as a retreat setting where diocesan faithful could read and meditate on Scripture.

That role has continued. In 2026 the Pascha Young Adult Bible Group of the Daegu Catholic Youth Foundation scheduled its first-half volunteer formation at the center, combining advanced biblical study with prayer and meditation. Although the detailed chronology of its opening remains unverified, the available record shows sustained use from at least the late 2000s to the present as a place for Scripture, prayer, and formation.
