Gwanghyewon Catholic Church is the church of Gwanghyewon Parish in the Central District of the Diocese of Cheongju, with St. Cecilia as its patron. It is an independent parish serving the Gwanghyewon area of Jincheon County and now belongs to the Central District together with Goesan, Jincheon, Iwol, Jeungpyeong, and other parishes. It is the parish center where local Catholics gather for Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community life.

Records show that the Catholic community in Gwanghyewon existed as a mission station under a neighboring parish before becoming an independent parish. The present church is the result of that local community's growth into a settled parish and has a spiritual identity shaped by its patron, St. Cecilia.
