The entry for Yanggok Parish in the Catholic Encyclopedia of Korea, however, records that after Yanggok Mission Station was elevated to parish status on March 25, 1987, its mission stations included Nusan-ri, Daegot, and Seokjeong. This establishes that by 1987 Seokjeong already existed as a distinct mission-station community within the Catholic parish network of the Gimpo area.
The official Catholic directory in Korea continues to list Seokjeong in Daegot-myeon, Gimpo, as a mission station of the Diocese of Incheon. The history that can be stated with confidence is therefore that Seokjeong appears in the documentary record as a mission station under Yanggok Parish in the late 1980s and that the community has continued to the present. The date of its original foundation and the history of its mission-station building are not asserted because supporting evidence was not found.
