About this place
Dudong Mission Station is a Catholic mission station of the Diocese of Masan in the Dudong area of Sadeung-myeon, Geoje. The current Catholic directory lists “Dudong” as a mission station of the diocese, confirming the identity of the present community. In Geoje's landscape of villages spread along the coast and hills, it can be understood as a nearby place where Catholics who live at some distance from a parish church can gather for prayer and sustain community faith.
The meaning of a mission station lies less in its size than in keeping the bonds of faith alive within a locality. Dudong provides a place for Catholics in the Sadeung-myeon area to meet and pray, helping a Catholic community remain present in everyday life. Current public official sources do not sufficiently establish the mother parish, regular liturgical arrangements, foundation date, or building history, so this introduction includes only the verified present identity and local role.
