About this place
Nudong Mission Station is a Catholic mission community in Gonam-myeon, Taean County, within the Diocese of Daejeon and under the jurisdiction of Anmyeondo Parish. The Directory of the Catholic Church in Korea clearly records the name and location of Nudong Mission Station and identifies Anmyeondo as its mother parish. It has the character of a mission community in which Catholics in an area without a resident parish priest remain connected to their mother parish for the practice of their faith.
Situated in a village in the southern part of Anmyeondo, the mission station expresses local Catholic community life in a form different from that of a larger parish church. Liturgical and pastoral schedules may vary according to parish circumstances and should be checked separately, but the place itself is officially confirmed as a local point connecting Catholics with Anmyeondo Parish. Visitors should therefore understand it as a mission station belonging to Anmyeondo Parish rather than as an independent parish.
