Gajiri Mission Station is a mission community under Geochang Parish in the Diocese of Masan, located on Seongsan-gil in Geochang-eup. The Catholic directory explicitly names Geochang as its mother parish, while a separate Catholic social-welfare directory also lists the same place as “Gajiri Mission Station (Hansen's disease welfare).”
Gajiri therefore has an identity that goes beyond that of an ordinary rural mission station: Catholic worship and community life overlap here with a history of service connected with people affected by Hansen's disease. It is both a place of prayer and a local expression of care and community linked with Geochang Parish.

A major verified milestone in its recent history, however, occurred on June 26, 2021, when the Diocese of Masan recorded the consecration of the Gajiri church and the dedication of its Marian shrine.
At Geochang Parish's 83rd anniversary celebration in 2023, Gajiri Mission Station participated as one of the parish community groups. The current Catholic directory likewise identifies Geochang as its mother parish and separately lists the same site in connection with Hansen's disease welfare.
