About this place
The Ecological Restoration House Monastery of the Seoul Province of the Caritas Sisters of Jesus is a religious community in Gapyeong registered in the official Catholic directory under the Diocese of Chuncheon. As its name indicates, it presents itself as an 'Ecological Restoration House' and is not a parish or a general lodging facility, but a place lived and operated within the consecrated life of the Seoul Province of the Caritas Sisters of Jesus.
In its official vision, the Seoul Province states that it seeks to witness to the merciful Sacred Heart of Jesus, stand in solidarity with the poor and suffering, and work for justice, peace, and the integrity of creation. The Ecological Restoration House Monastery can therefore be understood as a community whose very name expresses the congregation's concern for the integrity of creation and ecological restoration. Public official sources, however, do not provide enough detail to define specific visitor programs or ecological activities.
