About this place
The Marist Brothers of the Schools community known as the Small Spring Retreat House is a Marist religious community and retreat house in Sang-myeon, Gapyeong County, registered in both the Diocese of Chuncheon's institutional directory and the Korean Catholic Directory. The diocesan listing places it in the category of retreat and prayer houses, while the Catholic Directory identifies it as a community of a men's institute of consecrated life and society of apostolic life.
It is therefore best understood not as a parish church with territorial responsibility for local Catholics, but as a place that combines the common life of religious brothers with a retreat function. Official public sources clearly establish the present community and its character as a retreat house, but they do not provide detailed information about permanent programs or how the facility is used. Anyone planning a visit should check the latest guidance from the religious community or retreat house.
