Ingu Mission Station belongs to Jumunjin Parish in the Yeongdong district of the Diocese of Chuncheon. It is a local Catholic community for the faithful of the Ingu area in Hyeonnam-myeon, Yangyang-gun, providing a nearby place for communal faith life. The Diocese of Chuncheon continues to list it officially as a mission station under Jumunjin Parish.
Along the southern coast of Yangyang, villages are spread at some distance from the parish church, making the role of mission-station communities especially important. The Diocese of Chuncheon records the establishment of Ingu Mission Station in December 1958. Since then, it has continued as a mission-station community under Jumunjin Parish for Catholics in Hyeonnam-myeon, Yangyang-gun. It belongs to the broader pattern in which mission stations were established to connect scattered communities along the Yeongdong coast with their parish center.
Ingu Mission Station remains listed by the diocese under Jumunjin Parish. Public diocesan sources do not provide further details about the individuals who founded it, the construction of its early building, or later architectural changes. The securely verified historical points are therefore its establishment in December 1958 and the continuity of the community under Jumunjin Parish.
