About this place
The Chuncheon community of the Blessed Sacrament Sisters of Charity is listed by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea as a women’s religious community of the Diocese of Chuncheon and is located at the same site as Soyang-ro St. Patrick Parish. The diocesan parish page also identifies the Blessed Sacrament Sisters of Charity as the religious congregation serving Soyang-ro Parish, confirming the community’s close connection with parish life.
The Blessed Sacrament Sisters of Charity is a Korean-founded congregation established in 1956 by Father Lawrence Yoon Eul-soo. Its spirituality seeks to live the meaning of the Eucharist through “inbo,” a form of love and service toward neighbors in need. The Chuncheon community continues this spirituality through prayer and common life while sharing in the mission of the parish and the local Church.
This location should likewise be understood as a religious community rather than an independent parish. Soyang-ro Parish identifies the Blessed Sacrament Sisters of Charity as its religious congregation, while the national Catholic directory records the Chuncheon community separately at the same location. The significance of the community lies in the presence of religious sisters living the congregation’s founding spirit within the local parish; specific assignments that are not publicly documented should not be inferred.
