About this place
The Catholic Kkottongnae University community of the Institute of Kkottongnae Sisters of Jesus is a religious community located on the same site as the university campus within the Diocese of Cheongju. The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea directory identifies it specifically as the Sisters' “Catholic Kkottongnae University Community,” listing it separately from the motherhouse and the novitiate.
What distinguishes this community is that it retains the identity of the Institute of Kkottongnae Sisters of Jesus while being present within an educational setting. Kkottongnae's official vision describes the Sisters as the religious community associated with Kkottongnae's apostolate of “Love.” This place is therefore best understood not as the university itself or simply as a chapel, but as a local religious community in which the sisters continue communal life and an apostolic presence within Kkottongnae's educational environment.
