The novitiate of the Institute of Kkottongnae Sisters of Jesus is a formation community within Kkottongnae in Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk-do. The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea directory lists it separately from the motherhouse under the designation “Novitiate.” Among the institute's various communities, it is distinguished from the motherhouse or an ordinary local community by its role in the initial formation of religious life.

The Sisters were established in the Diocese of Cheongju in 1986 and live a spirituality of serving the poor and marginalized in connection with Kkottongnae's apostolate of “Love.” The novitiate is a place where this charism and communal life are learned and discerned within actual religious formation. Its primary character is therefore not that of a visitor facility but of an internal community centered on formation and discernment for religious life.
