About this place
Yeongjuk Mission Station is a Catholic mission-station community of the Diocese of Cheongju in Angseong-myeon, Chungju. The diocesan list of mission stations registers Yeongjuk as a distinct community, and the liturgical information of Angseong Parish also confirms that Mass is celebrated at Yeongjuk in connection with its mother parish.
Unlike a parish with a resident priest, a mission station is a place where local Catholics sustain community life while remaining linked to the mother parish for liturgy and pastoral care. Yeongjuk likewise serves as a local point of faith where Catholics in the Angseong area can pray together and participate in Mass within their own daily living area. Its significance lies less in a large church building or pilgrimage facilities than in the continuity of a small Catholic community and its connection with the parish.
