About this place
The Notre Dame community in this package is identified in the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea directory as the “Cheongju Community” of the Sisters of Notre Dame. The directory gives the English name as Sisters of Notre Dame (Regina Pacis Province): SND and confirms that the community is located at the same address as Guryong Catholic Church in Ochang-eup, Cheongju. This entry therefore refers not to a separate territorial parish church but to a local religious community of the Sisters of Notre Dame in the Guryong area.
The Sisters of Notre Dame’s official website states their mission as being sent “to incarnate the love of our good and provident God.” The Cheongju community can accordingly be understood as a local religious community that continues prayer, common life, and apostolic service within this charism. The official public sources located for this review, however, do not establish when the Cheongju community itself began or the specific apostolate with which it was founded.
