About this place
The Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Mirinae are a Catholic women’s institute of consecrated life. The official Directory of the Catholic Church in Korea gives the English name ‘Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Mirinae.’ The address in Hwanggan-myeon, Yeongdong, found in the package is listed in the same official directory as the congregation’s Cheongju branch within the Diocese of Cheongju.
This place is therefore not a parish church but a local religious community where the sisters live and carry out their apostolic mission. Visitors should understand it as a convent and faith community of the congregation rather than as a territorial parish.
