About this place
Judeok Catholic Church is a parish of the Jungwon District in the Diocese of Cheongju, serving the liturgical and sacramental life of Catholics in Judeok-eup, Chungju, and nearby areas. The official diocesan listing names St. Thomas the Apostle as the parish patron, and the diocesan district roster identifies Judeok as a parish of the Jungwon District.
The parish church is the central place where the faithful participate in Mass, prepare for sacraments such as Baptism and Matrimony, and continue catechesis and community life. In an area such as Judeok, where urban and rural communities meet, a parish also helps smaller local Catholic communities remain connected with diocesan pastoral care. Judeok Catholic Church can therefore be understood as a parish center that sustains everyday faith in southwestern Chungju and provides a place where the local Catholic community maintains relationships across generations.
