This confirms that by that time a Catholic community had become established enough in the Chilseong area to have its own worship space.
The same source lists Chilseong among the outstations of Goesan Parish, and the present Diocese of Cheongju outstation directory continues to list the community in Chilseong-myeon. The history that can be stated with confidence is therefore that a chapel was established in the late 1960s within the expansion of Goesan Parish's rural ministry and that the outstation has continued as a local center of Catholic life. Because earlier origins and the formation of the first community are not documented in the sources reviewed, no earlier chronology is inferred.
