About this place
This site is not the general convent address of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, but is listed in the Guide to the Catholic Church in Korea as the “Sacred Heart Spirituality Center,” a retreat and prayer house. The congregation’s Busan motherhouse is separately registered at 79-12 Geumsaem-ro 18beon-gil, while the center is at 79-16, so the two institutions should be distinguished.
Within the Diocese of Busan, the Sacred Heart Spirituality Center is confirmed as a facility operated for retreats and prayer. Its present identity is therefore better understood not simply as a convent but as a spiritual setting that helps the faithful step away from ordinary routines for prayer and reflection. Visitors should understand the place primarily as a retreat center rather than confusing it with the congregation’s Busan motherhouse.
