About this place
The Hwalcheon community of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill (사랑의 씨튼 수녀회 활천 분원) is a women’s religious community in the Catholic Diocese of Busan, located at Hwalcheon Parish in Gimhae. The official Catholic directory of Korea lists it separately as the “Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill (Hwalcheon Community),” and the directory entry for Hwalcheon Parish likewise confirms the presence of the Sisters there.
In its official introduction, the congregation describes ministries that include parish pastoral work, education, social welfare, specialized ministries, retreat guidance, and mission. The available official sources do not, however, specify in detail which of these ministries are currently carried out by the Hwalcheon community, so they are not assigned to this house without evidence. What can be stated clearly is that this is a local Seton community living at Hwalcheon Parish and maintaining the presence of consecrated religious life alongside the parish community.
