Salti Mission Station

Salti Mission Station is a Catholic mission community in the mountain area of Sangbuk-myeon, Ulju-gun, under the Diocese of Busan and currently dependent on Eonyang Parish. The Catholic directory classifies it as a mission station and explicitly names Eonyang as its mother parish. The same location is also remembered as the “Salti Historic Site of Faith” and as the place of the graves of Peter Kim Yeong-je and Kim Agatha, so the present mission community and the memory of local Catholic history overlap in one setting.

The importance of Salti does not lie in the scale of a large parish facility. It lies in the continuity between the memory of a Catholic community formed in the mountains under persecution and the faithful who preserved that life of faith into the present mission station and historic site.
