The Busan branch of 미리내성모성심수녀회 is a community of women religious living and serving within the Catholic Diocese of Busan. The Catholic Church directory in Korea explicitly identifies the community as the “Busan branch” of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Mirinae and gives the English name “Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary of Mirinae.” The place should therefore be understood not as an ordinary parish church but as a religious-house community centered on the common life and prayer of the sisters.

A branch house of a religious institute is not a territorial unit like a parish. Rather, it is a base where members live and pray together and serve the Church according to the institute’s own spirituality and apostolic mission.
