About this place
Malgeun Haneul Retreat House is a retreat and prayer facility of the Diocese of Busan located in Danjang-myeon, Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do. The directory of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea classifies it as a diocesan “retreat/prayer house.” Unlike an ordinary parish church, its primary character is that of a place where individuals and groups withdraw from daily routines for prayer, reflection, and formation in the faith.
Diocesan records show that the house has hosted youth-ministry training, a literature camp for Catholic writers, and a retreat connected with labor ministry. The range of programs—from youth ministry and lay cultural activity to social ministry—shows that Malgeun Haneul Retreat House has served as a shared spiritual space where members of the diocesan community can stay, pray, and reflect on faith and life.
