This location is listed by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea as the postulancy house of the Carmelite Missionaries, while the congregation’s official website presents the same Yeonsan-dong location as the “Busan Postulancy” and a retreat house. It can therefore be understood not merely as a residence for religious sisters but as a place where the congregation’s formation structure and ministry of prayer meet. According to the official description, it welcomes people who wish to encounter God in silence, offers day retreats open to anyone, and provides the possibility of accompaniment by a sister.

The house includes a chapel, private rooms, a sharing room, and other spaces needed for retreats. Official material also states that the Busan course of the Carmelite Missionaries’ “St. Teresa of Jesus School of Prayer” is held at the Yeonsan-dong postulancy. The school is designed to help participants learn the Carmelite tradition of contemplative prayer and deepen an actual life of prayer. In this sense, the Busan Postulancy is not simply an internally named religious facility, but a spiritual place of the Carmelite Missionaries that meets the local Church through silence, retreat, and formation in prayer.
