The Yulse-dong Branch of the Sisters of the Christian Doctrine is a women's religious community living and serving within the Diocese of Andong and is registered in the Guide to the Catholic Church in Korea as the congregation's branch in Andong. This place is not the headquarters or provincial house of the congregation as a whole but its Yulse-dong branch in Andong; the official English name is Sisters of the Christian Doctrine: D.C. Its identity is therefore primarily that of a local religious community in which sisters share community life and carry out apostolic work, rather than that of a separately identified public chapel or institution.

The Sisters of the Christian Doctrine have an educational charism directed toward the human and spiritual growth of people. In the Diocese of Andong, the Korean Province is involved in parish ministry, faith formation and retreats, schools and early-childhood education, and social welfare. The Yulse-dong branch can be understood as one local base supporting that mission through religious community life in Andong. Its educational spirituality and identity as a religious community within the diocese are more essential than changeable information about individual personnel or facilities open to visitors.
